Prof Papanikolaou and Dr Najdecki co-founded Assisting Nature in 2013, a modern state of the art fertility clinic, located in Thessaloniki, Greece. The founders of the clinic, after more than 20 years of expertise, dedication and love for human reproduction created a team of fertility specialists who managed to place the clinic internationally, in the highest positions in birth rates. Although childbearing seems a very simple reproduction process, one out of six couples faces difficulties conceiving naturally. At this point, the team of Assisting Nature intervenes by initially seeking the cause of the problem without exploiting the couples’ desire for a baby. Thereinafter, the appropriate treatment is provided where possible, otherwise every contemporary method of assisted reproduction is implemented. Depending on each case, methods vary from IUI, NC, and ICSI to more sophisticated methods such as IMSI, time-lapse embryo-culture, blastocyst culture, micro-TESE and Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). The Embryology Laboratory of Assisting Nature is the core of the IVF Unit with highly trained Embryologists and its structure contributes to the excellent quality of the services provided, to the safety of the procedures and to the serene environmental working conditions. According to ISO Standards, strict checking is ensured by daily measuring and controlling Laboratory Parameters, such as temperature, gas concentration (CO2, O2, N2) and pH, by our Embryologists. Additionally, the implementation of quality control (QC) and quality management systems in IVF, with a continuous monitoring and alarming system (by SMS and e-mail), guarantees uninterrupted optimal culture conditions for the embryos. Our primary goal in Assisting Nature is to provide the best reproductive medicine and clinical embryology services, by constantly monitoring and updating our protocols and services in order to achieve the desirable pregnancy and the birth of healthy children.
